I tested six MCP proxies in Claude Code and created a more efficient solution that reduced token usage significantly.
Many MCP proxies claim high token savings, but their performance can be misleading. In practical applications, some proxies may consume more tokens than using no proxy, leading to inefficiencies and task failures.
I chose six different MCP proxies to evaluate their performance in Claude Code.
I ran tests to measure token usage and task completion rates for each proxy.
I found that four proxies used more tokens than no proxy, while two failed to complete tasks.
Based on my findings, I created my own router that successfully reduced token usage by 13-44%.
I tested my custom solution and confirmed it completed all tasks efficiently.
Plan, execute and review a cross-cutting refactor in small batches, with Claude Code making the edits and GitHub Copilot reviewing each PR.
Claude Code reads your coverage report, picks the riskiest untested modules and writes unit tests that pass, one small PR at a time.
Copilot and Claude review each PR for bugs, missing tests and risky changes before a human looks, so reviewers can focus on design.
