A buildathon participant used Replit Agent for the first time to create LingoType, a typing app for mastering new languages.
The poster built Loopi, an app that turns photos, text and voice into reminders, notes and expenses, in about 45 days using Replit and AI agents.

The poster used Replit and its AI agents to build Loopi, a mobile app that takes a photo, pasted text, or voice input and turns it into reminders, notes, and expenses. They say they had no prior mobile app development experience, used TestFlight for over a month with a handful of testers plus their own daily use, and stepped in to judge the agents’ output because earlier agents could overdo changes or break things.
Loopi reached a live App Store release in about 45 days. The poster says coding was not the main bottleneck; App Store submission, in-app purchases, reviews, and iteration around release slowed things down most.
They estimate spending about $500 on Replit for Loopi, and say the app was tested extensively for over a month before publishing.
Build a mobile app called [app name] that turns [inputs, e.g. photos, typed text and voice notes] into [outputs, e.g. reminders, notes and expense entries]. Start by proposing a simple first version with the screens and features, and wait for my approval before building. Done means I can capture one of each input type and see it correctly organized in the app. Ask me before adding paid services or publishing.
