Ship a 40-file refactor with a coding agent
Plan, execute and review a cross-cutting refactor in small batches, with Claude Code making the edits and GitHub Copilot reviewing each PR.
Pair two coding agents so one writes a change and the other reviews it, iterating until approval or a round limit.
A coding agent reviewing its own output tends to approve weak changes. This setup pairs two different agents so each change gets an independent review pass, with a round limit that hands unresolved disagreements back to a human.
Install the cc-pair command globally with npm so it is available in any repository you work in.
Start a pairing session and declare which agent authors the change, either Claude Code or Codex. The other agent automatically becomes the reviewer for that round.
In auto mode the tool opens the author and launches the reviewer for each round without needing a second terminal. In manual mode you drive both agents yourself.
The agents exchange numbered message files inside a shared per-repo directory, so you can read the full review history at any point.
The loop ends when the reviewer approves. If the round limit is reached first (three by default), the disagreement escalates to you for a decision.
Plan, execute and review a cross-cutting refactor in small batches, with Claude Code making the edits and GitHub Copilot reviewing each PR.
Claude Code reads your coverage report, picks the riskiest untested modules and writes unit tests that pass, one small PR at a time.
Copilot and Claude review each PR for bugs, missing tests and risky changes before a human looks, so reviewers can focus on design.
