Review a landlord deposit dispute for legal violations
A tenant used ChatGPT and Gemini to review a landlord's apartment deposit dispute, identify legal violations, and avoid losing $4,200.
The poster says they used GPT Agent for their taxes, reading invoices and picking the right ones.

The poster used ChatGPT’s Agent tool to help with quarterly Xero reconciliation for a business, not fully file taxes end to end. They gave it a general guide for which transaction types map to which accounts, let it log into services, read invoice PDFs, match company and date, choose the contact and account, and prepare approvals; the person watched and double-checked the work and sometimes manually supplied invoices.
After about three hours, they said it had already made a huge dent and made very few mistakes. It could not access some sites that blocked OpenAI, and Gmail could not import attachments, so some invoice copying still had to be done by hand.
A key catch was connector limits: Gmail attachments were not imported, so the poster sometimes dropped in 20 PDFs directly instead of having the agent fetch them.
Go through the invoices in [folder or account] for [tax year] and pick out the ones that count as [deductible expenses or business income] for my taxes. Give me a table with the date, vendor, amount, and why you included or excluded each, plus a total. Don't submit anything to a tax site or authority; stop when the table is ready for me to review.
