Export the Descript transcript, let ChatGPT pick the five strongest moments, and get 10 platform-ready posts in a review doc within minutes.
Recording the episode is the hard part, yet most shows post one link and move on. Writing posts for LinkedIn, X and Instagram means re-listening for quotable moments, which takes an afternoon nobody has. The best ideas in each episode never reach anyone who did not press play.
When the edit is final, choose Export > Transcript as plain text with timestamps and speaker labels switched on. Save it to a Google Drive folder named `Podcast transcripts`, with the episode number at the start of the file name.
Create a Zap with Google Drive > New File in Folder as the trigger, pointed at `Podcast transcripts`. Add a Formatter > Text > Truncate step at 60,000 characters so unusually long episodes do not fail the next step.
Add a ChatGPT > Conversation step with the “Find the moments” prompt. Ask for JSON so the next step can read each moment’s timestamp, quote and angle separately.
Add a second ChatGPT step with the posts prompt, passing in the moments plus three past posts that performed well and a short list of words you never use. Keep temperature around 0.7 so posts vary without drifting off-message.
Use Google Docs > Create Document from Text to save all 10 posts under the episode title, then send the link to your team with Email by Zapier. A person edits and approves before anything is scheduled.
Use the timestamps from the moments step to find each quote in Descript and export 30–60 second clips for the video posts. Schedule the posts and clips across the two weeks after release.
Below is the transcript of episode {{episode_number}} of {{show_name}}, a podcast for {{audience}}.
Find the five moments most likely to make someone in that audience stop scrolling. Good moments contain a specific number, a strong opinion, a counterintuitive claim or a short story with a clear outcome. Skip intros, ad reads and small talk.
Return JSON: an array of five objects with keys timestamp, speaker, quote (verbatim, under 40 words) and angle (one sentence on why it matters to this audience).
