Inbox-zero assistant that drafts every reply
A Lindy agent sorts each new Gmail message, archives the noise, and leaves a draft reply in your voice for everything that needs an answer.
A self-hosted n8n job reads your calendar, unread email and Notion tasks at 7am and sends one short brief of what matters today.
The first half hour of the day goes to checking four apps to work out what is on. Meeting prep gets skipped, a promised reply slips, and the task due today surfaces at 4pm. One short brief would answer “what matters today” before the first meeting starts.
Run n8n in Docker on a small VPS or spare machine with a persistent volume (`-v n8n_data:/home/node/.n8n`) and set `GENERIC_TIMEZONE` to your timezone. Add Google and Notion credentials under Credentials.
Start with a Schedule Trigger at 07:00 on weekdays. Branch to three nodes: Google Calendar (Get Many events, today only), Gmail (Get Many, query `is:unread newer_than:1d -category:promotions`) and Notion (Get Many database pages where Due is on or before today and Status is not Done).
Merge the three branches and use a Code node to keep only what matters: event title, time and attendees; email sender, subject and first 300 characters; task name and due date. Smaller inputs keep you well inside the free tier.
Add a Google Gemini node with the brief prompt and the trimmed data, using a Flash model. It is fast, and one request a day costs nothing on the free tier.
Send the result to yourself with a Gmail node and a subject such as `Today: {{ $now.toFormat("ccc d LLL") }}`. Star it with a label so it is the first thing you open.
Write my morning brief for {{date}}. I am {{role}} and my top priority this week is {{weekly_priority}}.
Inputs:
- Calendar: {{events}}
- Unread email from the last 24 hours: {{emails}}
- Tasks due today or overdue: {{tasks}}
Format:
1. Today in one line: the single thing that most needs to get done.
2. Meetings: time, who, and one prep note (what to bring or decide). Skip recurring internal meetings unless something changed.
3. Replies owed: at most five emails that need an answer from me today, and why.
4. Tasks: overdue first, then due today.
Keep the whole brief under 250 words. Do not invent anything that is not in the inputs.A Lindy agent sorts each new Gmail message, archives the noise, and leaves a draft reply in your voice for everything that needs an answer.
Score every demo request against your ICP, update HubSpot and ping the right rep in Slack within a minute of the form submit.
Every new Zendesk ticket gets a category, priority and sentiment tag plus a draft reply in an internal note before an agent opens it.
